Störling Dance Theater is excited to present Summer Dance Intensive 2010!
Störling Dance Theater has been setting a new standard in innovation and passion with over a decade of powerful concerts and productions.
The Störling Dance Theater Summer Dance Intensive is designed for students to not only
train with Storling’s Artistic Directors and top dancers, but also spend time getting to know them and understand the inspiration and source behind their exciting work and success. Each morning begins with ballet and modern technique classes. Afternoons are filled with a variety of other styles that include jazz, tap, hip hop, funk, worship dance, dramatic dance, lyrical, etc. Evenings will include talks, lectures, and breakout sessions on a variety of topics as professionals share their stories of a life in the arts, how God has inspired them and helped in all circumstances, and how to lead a life of integrity in the arts.

Each day will include an optional morning devotional led by founder and former soloist Jeremiah Enna where students will explore the Biblical mandate for creativity and stewardship of the arts. Some of the greatest works of art in the history of humanity have been inspired by the God of Creation, Jesus Christ and his Church. Störling Dance Theater joins a new generation of artists building a repertoire and reputation on the integrity of message,
form, and content in their work. And Störling is committed to the next generation of leaders in the arts and culture realm. Come join us for this exciting dance intensive at The Culture House which is also home to The Culture House Academy of the Performing Arts. Join us for a life changing experience.
WHO: Students 9 and up with a desire to dance, be inspired by a wide variety of dance styles and choreographic perspectives.
WHAT: The Störling Dance Intensive is a 2 week camp where students The Intensive is design to train students in Ballet Modern and Jazz along with different electives classes such as Tap, Improvisation, Worship Dance, Hip Hop, Street, Tribal Funk, House, Worship, Pilates and more. In addition, we have a daily Worship time and Bible Study and evenings are filledwith relevant discussion about the Arts, and performances.
Auditions for Störling Dance Theater Company, Apprentice and Trainee programs on Wednesday, July 28 at 4 pm
WHEN: Sunday July 18th to 30th (2010) Saturday/Sunday 24th /25th- Off
Sunday 18th Check in followed by placement class and a master class
Monday-Friday 8:45am-5pm.
Evening Sessions: 7:00pm – 9:00 (end time may vary)

HOW MUCH: Tuition
$500 before June 1st
$550 after June 1st
ACCOMODATION:
Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Lenexa Kansas. The Hotel is offering $30/night if booking for a week. Hotel with a well-equipped kitchen, free high-speed Internet access, on site laundry facilities. The hotel is located 5 minutes from The Culture House. If you are in need of roommates to help share the cost, we will assist in matching you with up to four other participants.
